Maintenance
A living material, leather breathes, softens, develops a patina over time and, therefore, requires careful pampering.
The leather
Leather is sensitive to water, oil, heat, humidity or dryness and reacts with displeasure. When a Charlotte Beaude bag made of this material suffers from ambient temperature and remains exposed to light for too long, its color may be altered. Likewise, if its leather comes into contact with water, it should be wiped immediately with a soft cloth to protect it from the potential formation of stains. Although the leather of your bag is already protected to accompany you in your daily life, you can nourish it with beeswax once a year. Please note, however, that this only applies to calfskin. Using beeswax on your dipped lambskin bag can seriously damage it.
Certain materials such as ink, oily products, perfume and alcohol-based products can leave permanent marks on leather. To preserve its shape, it would also be best to avoid overcrowding it or placing irregularly shaped objects inside.
To remain beautiful and strong as the first day, the Charlotte Beaude bag sometimes requires a few moments of respite in a temperate, dry environment, protected from light and preferably in its original protective case. To maintain your slim and slender figure during your vacation, it is best to place tissue paper inside.
The silk
Noble and delicate material, silk must be protected and cherished. To preserve the beauty of your scarf, it is best to avoid any contact with rain, water and chemicals. Also take care that it does not get caught on a nail or other object that could damage it.
When giving your scarf a rest, untie it first and then gently lay it flat so that it does not crease. If it needs to be cleaned, don't do anything yourself: take your scarf to a professional dry cleaner.
To refresh and invigorate it, your silk scarf deserves to take a breath of fresh air from time to time.
Modal and cashmere
We recommend that you treat your Charlotte Beaude winter piece made of modal and cashmere with the greatest tenderness. If your scarf needs cleaning, it would be best to take it to a professional dry cleaner. However, if you prefer to take care of it yourself, use a mild detergent and wash your square in cold water.
To avoid fraying the fringes of your Charlotte Beaude scarf, avoid any risk of them getting caught.
Zamak
An alloy of zinc, aluminum, magnesium and copper, zamak is the basis of all the clasps and other metal parts in the Charlotte Beaude collection. Made of a durable, rigid, strong and resistant material, the strap on your handbag will still need to be cuddled from time to time.
Even though it is strong, this material must be tenderly pampered. Please make sure that he does not scratch himself or receive any blows. To take care of your zamak piece, it is best to avoid chemical cleaners and prefer to leave it dry. Cleaning it gently with a soft cloth will be enough.
